Here’s part two of yesterday’s post on K&C’s wedding at the Alden Hotel in downtown Houston and the University of St. Thomas. In case anyone is visiting this site for the first time, I made these images while second shooting for Margaret of LoveLee Photography.

I think that the donning of the dress is often one of the most emotional times during the wedding. There’s so much that happens before this moment. First, hair and makeup must be done. Then, there’s always something that needs to be found, schedules that need to be double-checked, and confirmations that need to be made with the planner or relatives who flew in from out of town. The list of things that happen that morning just go on and on and on.

But when the bride comes out with her dress, that is the signal that everything is finally ready. It’s time to breathe and in this case, get to the ceremony.

Now is the moment when the beauty and weight of everything happening this day fills the air again. For the bride… and also for her dearest friends and family.

And now it’s time to get married!

And here she is… waiting for her cue to see her groom for the first time that day. On a side note, I thought it was beautiful that her brothers were able to walk her down the aisle. More to come…
